The Bewitching Black Manicure
As the darker nights draw ever closer, so too has the deliciously decadent trend for jet black nails.
This statement look will take nails all the way through this Autumn/Winter season in style. Switch it up your mobile manicure by adding a matte top coat to this seasons must have!
Brilliant Berry Nails
Always a staple of the Autumn/Winter season, Berry colours were big on the catwalk. Dark berry nails were seen at Burberry and Dsquared2 while a creamy berry colour was seen at Zac Posen. Go for a deeply dark tone or something a little lighter to really keep on trend this season. Team your MILK Manicure with leather to rock this versatile shade.
The Retro Red Manicure
Vamp it up with a classic Red manicure this autumn. This vintage timeless nail shade made a fabulous return to the catwalks, oozing glamour and ladylike sophistication.
True red nails were seen at Valentino, Meadham Kirchoff and Antonio Beradi. Twin with a classic red lip for a daringly fabulous oh so chic look.
Neutrals are an understated way to add some colour this season. Try classic taupe or subtle browns to make nails look beautifully polished and effortlessly chic.
Session Nail Technician, Lucy Tucker says ‘Natural nails are often thought of as more of a summer hue, yet they are returning again this AW13 too. To achieve this look I would keep nails looking short and square with rounded corners.
Nail Art was a huge trend in 2013 but as the year is coming to end so is the bold nail art designs seen in previous seasons. While New York saw a variety of darker shades Paris’ shows displayed a classic nearly nude look.
The Jenny Packham show saw nails Swiped with chunky glitter specks across the bottom half of the nails after applying a topcoat for a high-impact look that requires minimal effort. While Oscar de la Renta used black to accomplish a chic update to a classic French, why not try one of these great looks to update your nails this season?
Shape It Up!
Nails are edging away from the super long/ super pointy stiletto look to a more almond shape this season. Give your manicure a completely different look by switching to a rounded oval shape. This shape is lady like and chic and an oh-so-subtle detail that will give your nails a complete makeover! However not to worry if you don’t want to part with your gorgeously long talons why not update the look by rounding of the stiletto by shaping the nail into a flat top?
